My new logo!
well, before i can perfect my kickass sponge, i need to do a whole load of legal registration and requirements which i strangely find quite interesting. i mean i’m not saying i have a perfect business brain and yes i’ve only done 3/4 of an a-level in business, but it’s given me a lot of knowledge that i can hopefully transfer onto this project. plus having worked in a restaurant for almost 2 years and a small health cafe for a year which entailed HACCP training means i’m suitably aware of food safety management and food practices.
Hello, Jake here.. frosting extraordinaire.
Initial field testing is going well. The ‘basic’ vanilla frosting is pretty much perfect. Next we’re going to be experimenting with flavors and colour!
Stay hungry x
well, I should probably introduce myself - my name’s Mel(issa) and i’ve decided to make the crazy decision of leaving college to pursue my own business in cupcakery, thus this blog has manifested itself! i’m currently in the very early stages, to the point where only a handful of my closest friends know, but i’m determined and aspiring, which is the most important thing. at this current moment in time i’m in the stages of perfecting my cake base, so i can then go onto experimenting with some wacky flavours and what not. the tumblr has been created and the domain name bought; now that may not mean much to a lot of you but this project is ready to go. this blog is likely to be subject to the trials and tribulations i will face over the next few months while i get myself lifted off, including the “opinions” of “adults” around me, and how “i’m so close to finishing my a-levels just carry on”, but to be fair i’ve dealt with a lot of things in my life that have made me realise that if i want something, i just need to go do it. i don’t really care if i sound like an angsty teenager, because i probably am, but i feel like i need to show the world i’m going to kickass. with cakes.
